As a CEA for the Indiana State Museum, I culled artifacts and materials from collections of sites as well as took pictures, inventoried everything and wrote summaries for each site that was culled.

Evidence-based laboratory testing is an important, yet sometimes incomplete, step in the diagnosis of active pulmonary tuberculosis (TB) disease. Tuberculosis controllers in a midwestern United States metropolitan health department reported a perform ... ance gap in testing at healthcare facilities throughout the region. One partnering hospital created an electronic clinical decision support (CDS) tool within the electronic health record (EHR) aimed at improving active pulmonary TB disease testing. A program evaluation examined effectiveness of the CDS change on the initial laboratory testing and ordering processes for patients diagnosed with active pulmonary TB at the facility. The tests of interest were acid-fast bacilli (AFB), culture, and nucleic acid amplification testing (NAAT). Read more
