I was a teaching intern at Fall Creek Valley Middle School in the Fall 2024 semester. During my time there, I observed and assisted for a full school day with my mentor teacher at least once a week. I later taught my own planned lesson to several per ... iods. Using these experiences, I researched the resource allocation, support systems, and policies of the school. This paper was an analysis of two article from mainstream media new outlets and an analysis of their depiction of immigrants. The paper then uses several studies to analyze different effect of these media depictions and their relation with growing na ... tivist sentiment in Americans as well as the Donald Trump 2024 presidential victory. Through the use of agenda setting and the cultivation effect, the media helps put immigrants at risk of being victim to Trumps campaign promises of mass deportation. Read more
