I attended Indy Hunger Network's Food Pantry Summit in order to gain a better understanding of what community service looks like on a very wide scale, as well as to network with nonprofit professionals from around Indianapolis.

The opioid crisis had a detrimental impact on a variety of health outcomes, raised the economic burden, and reduced access to effective, evidence-based therapies over time. I am an intern with the Office of Sustainability and am employed as an Urban Garden Manager. Throughout the past year, I have worked on increasing community engagement, researching sustainable agriculture practices, and maintaining IUPUI's two campus ... gardens. I have worked on the Fox Cities project where I used R to analyze community level data from the U.S. Census Bureau on population growth, age distribution, and diversity in the Fox Cities region of Wisconsin.
