Throughout the past year, I have worked on increasing community engagement, researching sustainable agriculture practices, and maintaining IUPUI's two campus ... ampus gardens. For this project, I worked alongside mentors to increase the Indianapolis community presence of our Spanish program and its current students/alumni. Through my work in the program, I have been able to reach out to the community to strengthen ties be ... tween IUPUI and surrounding Latinx / Spanish-speaking organizations. As a result of our work with the CEA program, organizations can receive oftentimes much-needed assistance through internships while our students earn valuable experience and community connection. Additionally, the internship program offers real-world language and culture experience to students who may only have classroom experience. It is beautifully, mutually beneficial. Read more
